Relative molecular mass: 203.98, traits: light yellowish brown-green crystalline powder, stable in nature, unchanged for long-term storage. There is no iron smell of common iron agents, it is tasteless and easily soluble organic iron, and it is easily soluble in water. It can avoid the absorption of phytic acid to common iron agents, and its absorption rate is about 3-5 times that of ferrous sulfate. It can still promote the absorption of calcium, zinc, selenium, and other elements without causing food to change color or taste. Physiological function: improve iron deficiency anemia.

Function & Applications

Function:

1) Industrially, ferrous sulfate is mainly used as a precursor to other iron compounds. It is a reducing agent, for the reduction of chromate in cement;
2) Nutritional Supplement Together with other iron compounds, ferrous sulphate is used to fortify foods and treat iron-deficiency anemia;
3) Water Treatment Ferrous sulfate has been applied for the purification of water by flocculation and for phosphate removal in municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants to prevent eutrophication of surface water bodies;
4) Colorant Ferrous sulfate can also be used to stain concrete and some limetones and sandstones a yellowish rust color.
