1. Product Description
Tetraacetylethylenediamine is an efficient low-temperature bleach activator, widely used in washing powder, color bleaching powder, dishwashing agent and other solid detergents and stain removers. Tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) is the bleaching activator that can meet this requirement. It has excellent low temperature bleaching performance, good environmental protection performance and suitable price. TAED/sodium perborate system has become the European standard bleaching activator system. Among the bleaching detergents used in Europe, 75%-80% use TAED/sodium perborate system. Some studies have shown that when the content of tetraacetylethylenediamine reaches 1.5%-5.0% in detergent formulation, sodium perborate can play its bleaching effect at room temperature.

2. Function & Application
1) TAED is typically applied in domestic laundry detergents, automatic dish washing, bleach boosters,
laundry soak treatments, to improve the washing performance.
2) TAED could be applied in textile bleaching to react with hydrogen peroxide in the bleach bath.
3) The hydrogen peroxide/TAED bleaching system is a new method for textile bleaching. It can not only reduce the bleaching temperature, obtain good bleaching effect at low temperature, but also bleach under near neutral conditions, so it can play a good protective role on cellulose.
